Living in Perth

Population 1.97 million

Perth has an average of 8 hours of sunshine per day, so it’s perfect if you like to spend time outdoors in the fresh air. You can take a bus or train to one of Perth’s beaches, like the famous Cottesloe Beach. Spend a day surfing, swimming or hanging out with friends.

In the middle of Perth you can explore Kings Park and Botanic Gardens. It’s the largest inner city park in the world – bigger than Central Park in New York.

Our school at Central is surrounded by great restaurants, cafes, nightclubs and shopping areas including the Northbridge Piazza. There, you can watch free outdoor movies with your friends and classmates.

The Perth Cultural Centre is only a 5 minute walk from the school. You’ll find the State Library, the West Australian Museum, the Art Gallery of Western Australia and Perth's theatres there.

On the weekend, take a trip to Fremantle to visit Fremantle Markets, or explore Perth’s vibrant cafés and bars.
