Navitas English learning and teaching

Navitas English teachers love to teach English. All our teachers will help you develop your English language skills in a way that suits your individual learning style.

Experienced teachers

All Navitas English teachers have degrees and internationally recognised TESOL qualifications with an average of 4 years’ teaching experience.

Your teachers are focused on helping you reach your goals. We stay up to date with the latest teaching techniques through an ongoing professional development program.

Testing and progression management

In General English you will sit regular tests and receive feedback on your progress. These tests are nothing to worry about – they let you identify areas of weakness, and see the areas where you have improved.

If you want to progress from General English to a course with minimum English levels or a higher education program, ask your teacher for advice.

IELTS and Cambridge test preparation courses have daily and weekly practice tests. These tests help you become familiar with the test structure and environment.

In Academic English you will regularly hand in reports and present to the class. Your teacher will give you lots of feedback to help you improve your performance. As an Academic English student you can access additional academic counselling.

myStudy electives

If you are studying General English, you have 1 hour each day in your timetable for myStudy. myStudy helps you develop independent study skills, so you can continue to study and learn after your course.

myStudy is supervised and the timetable at each school changes regularly as we respond to your needs and interests.

eBeam classroom technology

Each school has modern classroom technology, including SMART boards. Teachers can show multimedia content, write notes digitally and share materials with you and your class electronically.

Accreditation

Navitas English schools are registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).

To be CRICOS registered, Navitas has to meet the ELICOS National Standards and comply with the:

  • National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018
  • Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000, and
  • Education Services for Overseas Students Regulations 2001.

Connecting your learning to your life

myStudy is an additional hour of study for all General English daytime students. After your main classes finish, you can choose which myStudy elective you would like to attend from 1pm to 2pm. myStudy is supervised by an English teacher who can help you with your individual learning goals and teach you study skills so you are able to learn independently, both during and after your course ends.
