Living in Sydney

Sydney has five universities in the QS World University Rankings® 2016/17, and it is one of the best student cities in the world, according to the 2016 QS Best Student Cities index.

The weather in Sydney is mild all year round – not too hot in summer and not very cold even in the middle of winter.

The city has beautiful beaches and a busy cultural life. From the school, the harbour is only a 10 minute walk. If you like adventure, why not try a Harbour Bridge Climb?

The Opera House is a 15 minute walk from the school and holds world-class musical and theatre performances, as well as more affordable cultural and comedic events for all budgets.

In Sydney many students choose to live in or near the city centre. There, you can explore lots of bars, clubs, cafes and restaurants. You’ll often find food options from around the world within walking distance – you can try something new or something from home.

Sydney is also a shopping destination. Many international brands come to Sydney before they go anywhere else in Australia, including Uniqlo, Zara, Gap, Banana Republic and H&M. There are also luxury designers like Hermes, Ralph Lauren and Louis Vuitton.
