Job Support

If you want to work while you study in Australia, you can get face-to-face support and advice from your Navitas English school. We can give you information and help you develop skills for your job search during your studies and after graduation.

As an international student in Australia, you usually have the right to work a maximum of 40 hours per fortnight while your course is in session, and unrestricted hours during course breaks. You can find out more on the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website.

We can support you with:

  • information on how to open a bank account, apply for a tax file number and your work rights
  • information about the local and national job markets
  • tips on how to look for work online and locally
  • advice on industry sectors that are popular with international students
  • advice on the job application and interview process
  • information on qualifications and certificates to help you in your job search such as Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Barista Training, Green Card, First Aid and many more.

At most of our schools, you can also join the myStudy Job Club. In the Club, you can get additional advice on looking for work and improve your vocabulary for interviews, job hunting and working life.

Courses are delivered by Navitas English Services Pty Ltd (ACN 002 069 730), CRICOS Provider 00289M.
